Here in Evanston you actually have to pay to access the beach. It costs $30 dollars per person over the age of 1 for a season pass. Otherwise you can pay a daily rate of $7 for adult and $5 for child. We figure that we will play on the beach at least 2-3 times per week, so we invested in the season passes.
This is our new favorite beach which is very family friendly. It's actually name Lighthouse Beach because as you access the beach there is a historic lighthouse at the front. Sorry, no pic. of the lighthouse.
